Shikara aur Chinar
I travelled to Kashmir in November last year just to see the chinar leaves in autumn. Living in Rajasthan, I had never seen what autumn was like. Seeing leaves of a multitude of hues of orange and red, I was mesmerised. This image was shot at the backdrop of Dal Lake, under a chinar tree.
The warm tones of the leaves meeting with the cool tones of the sky and water make for a beautifully balanced color palette in this peaceful moment. I love that you talked about your first experience with autumn-- I assure you I never tire of the leaves changing colors every year. It's a beautiful sight and I love how you captured it here.
