    Edit Photo Details Feria del Huipil Cuetzalan Mexico   #mexico #little #cultural #celebrations #known #nahua
This image from our 2011 archives, but my wife Martha (mx) and I (usa) do a lot of work preserving little known Mexican cultural celebrations and felt Your Shot readers might want to know the Feria. It is an annual fall indigenous Nahua celebration giving thanks to Mother Nature. A week long event in the hidden destination, Cuetzalan. Men on the post are los Voladores- the flying dancers. They swing down to ground on ropes attached to the platform. Huipil is embroidered blouse- a Nahua tradition.
