I was lucky on Mardi Gras Day. I prefer to photograph the people who are the soul of Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras Indians and the Zulus. Other people head to the French Quarter and chase the walking krewes like St. Anne, but I head to Central City. I learned that Big Chief Monk Boudreaux was getting married to his long term partner in font of his home in Central City. Off I went. The ceremony was very short and Indian flavored -- lots of laughs -- but the pictures were incredible.
