This was the sixth time over several years visiting this location at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. My hope was for a dramatic sky full of color and layers to complement the spires and surrounding forest. Six must be a lucky number, as this was one of best sunrises and morning twilights I had ever witnessed anywhere or anytime. Mornings are wonderful. Most people sleep in, which was the case this morning. I was the only person to experience the beauty at that spot that morning.
