On a trip to Northwest Missouri to catch the incredible snow goose migration I found the largest group of migrating birds I have ever seen. It was in an open wetland in Northwest Missouri where easily over a million snow geese were flooding in to rest from their long migratory flight. In this moment, something spooked the near million birds that rested on the water and they all picked up in unison to fly to the other side of the wetland where they settled back down.
