    Reported by:

March 19, 2019. After catching the first baby lizard of the year in my vegetable garden and handing it off to my overly excited lizard lover daughter, it ran up into her hair to hide. She held it and sang to it and let it go in the garden. It was a male with blue on its belly, she named it George. My daughter lives for the warm 'lizard season', and it's finally here! There is so much about this photo I love. The way the tiny lizard blends in with your daughter's blond hair or the unseen narrative that is being built by your daughter's tenderness in letting this little creature hide in her hair with care. I love that you made a tight composition of this moment.
