Edit Photo Details A Life She Has Forgotten
My 93-year-old great aunt has dementia and is no longer able to live on her own. This is her former home. It's just a small apartment at the back of what was one time a country store, gas station, barber shop and automotive garage. She and her husband managed this hub of the community. I remember visiting her as a child, and we ate big bowls of ice cream together in this room. Its appearance changed little over the years. Today it stands as a monument to a life my aunt has forgotten.
