    Edit Photo Details Maui Migration - A Bit Too Close!   #nature #animal #whale #humpback
It's always a surprise when these whales breach in front of you! No warning, just a thrust from the ocean suddenly upon you! The whale migration in Maui was breathtaking and heartwarming. So many new calves in the ocean and a recovering population of whales. There is still so much to be done worldwide to stop the hunting of whales. Once you have the opportunity to see them eye to eye I can't imagine how anyone could harm them. So intelligent, so beautiful - the humpback whale is a wonder.
