We were having a great evening exploring paradise bay, antarctica between lemaire and bryde by zodiac from the national geographic explorer when we spotted this seal on a bergy bit. As we approached from a bit below his eye level, he gave us a close look. GPS coordinates for the shot were 64°51'7.835" S 62°55'41.766" W. Shot on February 3, 2019 with a canon 5d mark iv using a canon 70-200 f2.8 lens at 165 mm. shot with 2500 iso because of the low evening light and overcast sky. 1/1250 at f9.
