The Tap In Rural Rajasthan
With 342,239 km² of area which is 11% (10.4% more accurately) of country's land and a population of 68,548,437 (as of 2011), Rajasthan is the largest state of India. Most of the area in Rajasthan is desert and with scorching temperatures up to 50°C, the issue of water shortage is a real pain in the beautiful dunes of "The Royal State". According to a study, Rajasthan has access to only 2% of national water supply and women in rural areas have to queue-up for hours to get clean drinking water.
