the mountain and me
It's New Year's Eve and we're the last on the track. He trudges up the path... the little white hut just visible through the mists of MacKinnon's Pass.
Inside the hut there's chicken noodle soup from a jar... and lots of laughter. I stay behind for a bit longer. I'm super grateful as the mountain has graced us with a short viewing... before the mists swallow her up and she vanishes once more.
