A Walk with Andean Women
While volunteering for a non-profit, Awamaki, in the Sacred Valley of Peru, I have been working to help empower indigenous Andean women by helping them become financial independent, selling their weaving and working with tourism. This has helped them escape from poverty and lead happier lives. One day, while visiting the community of Huilloc, I went on a hike with the women. They showed me around and welcomed me into their community. The women are incredibly strong, working toward change.
