Gregoria
In the community of Huilloc, Gregoria, a strong Andean woman, works with a non-profit, Awamaki, to give tours to travelers. She shows them the entire process of her weaving, from dyeing the alpaca wool, to spinning the wool into yarn, and finally to the incredible process of weaving their traditional clothing. She is working hard to make a change in rural Peru, lifting herself out of poverty and becoming more empowered as a woman.
