The second week of March brought some welcome activity to the waterways of Southeast Wisconsin including this mallard. Despite the amount of remaining snow piles on the shores of the Fox River in Downtown Waukesha, the waterfowl were happy to be able to walk off the beach and drink from snowmelt puddles nearby. Combined with a sunny day, on-lookers were rejuvenated by signs of spring.
