A visit to the Estuarium/Sea Lab in Dauphin Island, Alabama. A beautiful and rich ecosystem at times threatened by natural and man made desastres, like hurricane Katrina and the oil spill in 2010. I was here when it happened and I’m happy to be back to see the recovery of the area thanks to the resilience of the gulf communities, including the folks at the sea lab who do a fine job at studying and protecting the regions species like this baby alligator.
