A driver pushes his empty three-wheeled cycle rickshaw over the Xiaoshibei bridge delimiting the boundary between the Qianhai and Houhai lakes in downtown Beijing. He has just finished driving around the hutongs (narrow alleys formed by lines of courtyards) surrounding the lakes some tourists. He now crosses the bridge to get back to his designated starting position to pick up new clients.
