    Reported by:

Winter days in the Pianura Padana are often characterized by a thick fog which can reach into the pede-Apennines hill valleys. A few meters away and you are either under a clear, chilly sky, or engulfed in a still world of darkness. The familiar landscape of my childhood on the hills south of Parma is then transformed into a different place, to be explored with new eyes, as I did during my last winter visit.
