McArthur-Burney Falls is one of the most stunning and beautiful waterfalls in California. President Teddy Roosevelt once described Burney Falls as the “eighth wonder of the world”. It is located near Burney, between Shasta-Trinity and Lassen National Forests, and is about 40m high and 75m wide. The water flows over the high ledge through two main falls, and also through many openings below the cliff resulting in beautiful mini-falls.
