The airport in Wamena in central Papua is a very small one and only this fence and about 20 feet separate these boys from the landing strip where all jets coming and going take off and land. My friends and I wanted to experience the wild sensation of having a big plane fly just feet above our outstretched hands. We discovered we were not alone in our thrill-seeking; we were in the company of these absolutely tickled-pink little boys. A jet was just appearing in the distance when I snapped this.
