    Reported by:

Spring breathes life into the Northern California landscape. All the plants begin to come back, and at the same time the Yuba River starts to turn its famous emerald green color. The river is an iconic piece of Nevada City, the town that I grew up in. The Yuba is a designated "Wild and Scenic River," and flows for miles over white granite and through forested canyons.
