    My day spent on the Pacific Coast from La Jolla up to Torrey Pines featured a wild high surf. It is remarkable what these sea lions at La Jolla Cova can sleep through, from people climbing the rocks they rest upon to high surf threatening to sweep them away. I took a number of photos of these sea lions, waiting for the perfect moment to grab the crest of the waves.
