Along the shoreline of one of the ponds within a large residential development in Cape Coral, Florida were many empty snail shells. Presumably the snails had all been caught and eaten by any of the many shorebirds that live and/or feed in those ponds. The shells were fairly large and interesting looking, but I would have loved to see them filled with the actual snails!
