This is a view from inside one of the ice caves on Grand Island in Munising, Michigan. Thanks to the Polar Vortex for freezing the bay making it possible to travel here. The formations are the result of waves crashing and snow melting off the sandstone cliffs on the island above. This is the reason for the various colors. In the summer you can kayak here.
