Wandering around the desert in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, I came across this large Organ Pipe Skeleton. I knew it would make a great contrast of life and death with the vibrant desert vegetation surrounding it. I set up my camera and waited out the sunset. Fortunately for me, the skies erupted in vibrant hues of orange and pink as I snapped off a handful of frames. I loved how the skeleton swept through half of the frame, creating a counterpoint to the rugged mountains beyond.
