Exploring Cumberland Island
Cumberland Island National Seashore preserves most of Cumberland Island, the largest of Georgia's Golden Isles. The seashore features beaches and dunes, marshes, freshwater lakes and wild horses roaming free. Also here are the Dungeness Ruins, the remains of a mansion built by Thomas Carnegie, brother and partner of steel tycoon Andrew Carnegie.
