Unlikely Hunters
Hanging gracefully from the top of the garden canopy these unlikely hunters begin luring small insects to their death using their pleasant aromas. Pitcher plants, like most other carnivorous plants, have evolved to prey on animals for nutrition in the absents of nutrient-rich soil, causing them to form these elaborate/beautiful pitfall traps iconic to the genus.
