Every day during the winters, a large number of photographers gather at the Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge before sunset to see the geese flying. It makes for a majestic scene as a few thousand geese take off at once to retire for the night. This picture was captured moments before that happened. Perhaps these four were the messengers triggering the mass flight!
