Chicago is a city with great birding opportunities. There are forest preserves scattered throughout the city and surrounding suburbs that host hundreds of different species. No matter where you live in Chicago you are near a forest preserve. These wood ducks are in the middle of a city neighborhood, but you would never know it unless you get out and walk around in one the forest preserves.
