A TENDER MOMENT
Human interference and its impact on wildlife and nature has, in the modern world, led to a destruction of habitat and poses a serious threat to many plants and species and their way of life. The Nenets, indigenous nomads in Siberia (Russia), seem to have found a balance to co-exist with reindeer they herd by maintaining a deep respect for them. While they rely on reindeer for food, clothing & tools, they also know each by face and/or name and take care of them like their own pets.
Humans and wildlife working together and living together. This shows perfect balance within the planet, Lorraine. This is a very nice moment, but your caption info was so strong it really gave me more information than I had known about the Nenets and their relation to the land. Thank you for sharing this.
