This photo was taken in Puerto Rico, at the sight of Castillo San Felipe del Morro, also known as simply El Morro. El Morro is a fort built by Spain to protect San Juan’s harbor— the first secure deep-water port. Construction of this fortification began in the 1500s, and was completed over the span of 250 years.
