It is very hard to pick just three pictures to represent the town of Occoquan, but there had to be one representing it's colonial heritage. The heritage is seen throughout the main streets, in it's architecture. This photo is of Rockledge manor grounds, built in 1758 by John Ballendine. The buildings are nested into the rocky river bank, where rock formations and greenery exist side by side with beautiful sculptures and colonial architecture.
