We chose the cream colored Maine Coon so that he contrasts nicely with the cold blue colors of the ice and sky. The ice was very thick, forming an unbelievable texture as the top layer fluctuated in the weather  — creating a natural vignette in the foreground. He looks like he is on a mission, crossing a dangerous path to get to his destination — representing what animals in the wilderness have to go through in order to immigrate or simply survive.
