This heron was walking on the stones, near the water while looking for a lunch. While it is an impressive bird to look at, it's not exactly beautiful. Everything about it is made for a specific purpose but the feathers and colors aren't the brightest, the walk isn't the most elegant and if you look at the beak, you can see that the opening actually goes beyond the eye. Sure it helps with large fishes but it doesn't look elegant once open.
