My husband and I recently spent some days on a riverboat experiencing a small section of the Peruvian Amazon River Basin. We would venture off on a motorised skiff to explore smaller tributaries. This image was captured on one of those journeys. A flock of several thousand Cormorants, along with White Great Egrets could be seen everywhere! On the banks, in the water and flying ahead of us. For me, this was an unforgettable, thrilling and awe-inspiring moment in time.
