The Viaduct
The Viaduct that crosses the River Boyne in Drogheda was completed in 1855. It was the 7th bridge of its kind in the world when built & considered one of the wonders of the age. It is iconic to Drogheda, the town I went to school in & is the first thing boats see when they come in to Drogheda port from the Irish Sea. When I see this beautiful landmark it means I am nearly home & my friends & family are close by. It is like a welcome sign to me.
