    On a very cold, windy afternoon, Red-crowned Tancho cranes were heading their resting spots earlier than usual. This pair was waiting for a favorable wind to ride on: In a flurry of powder snow blown off the ground by gusty winds, they were walking slowly, waiting for the moment.
