Himba mother and child
Taking a shower, something we take for granted in the western world, is considered a waste and strictly forbidden for most himba women in Namibia. So instead of BathinG, Women Apply oTjizE paste made with ochre stone and aromatic resinS, giviNg them their characteristic Red-orange color. I took this photo While driving through the Damaraland on a ROAD TRIP in namibia last november. The girl’s bEauTy, gAze and beautiful Skin captivated me from the moment i saw her.
