My friends and I were driving south towards the city of Giza along the Nile when we noticed an elderly farmer cutting grass in a field by the road. We asked our driver to turn the car around and park so we could speak with him. As we approached, I quickly took this shot before he noticed us. The feeling was natural, undisturbed, spontaneous. The man was kind and he showed us how to cut the tall grass with the scythe in his hands.
