This male escort put on quite a display as he travelled north with a female humpback and her year-old calf. The male did his best to impress the female, who will likely part ways with her calf upon reaching the warmer waters surrounding the Great-Barrier Reef. I'm not sure the perfectly choreographed series of breaches, tail lobs and pectoral slaps (sometimes in tandem with the yearling) were enough to impress the girl, but those watching from the surface appreciated his efforts.
