Recently my family gathered in celebration of a life milestone. I found myself gazing out into the yard and my heart skipped a bit. The scene that unfolded before me was if I were transported 22 years prior..looking at my daughter and her neighbor friend playing on the swing under the tree. Oh my heart - what I was looking at was my grand daughter (who looks just like her mother did at that age) and her cousin. Generations celebrating together, homestead, pride, love....this IS home. Always.
