    Rockenhausen, Germany, 1968: I awoke to festive sounds and lots of footsteps (exact date forgotten), opened the shutters and it seemed like half of Rockenhausen was marching down my street. I grabbed my dad's Kodak Diomatic II 35mm camera and tried to lean far enough out the window to record the unfolding scene. This apparatus looks like a 2 or 4-man pumper. I don't know if it was a relic then or if it was still in service.
