    Reported by:

Leida and Laelle came from Haiti to Brazil 4 years ago. These twin sisters have such a deep and beautiful bond with each other. They have surpassed so many struggles together, as cancer, and their house completely destroyed by the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. While Laelle is more concentrated and focused, Leida is more childish and playful. They pray and worship together, support each other on their dreams. Very recently they moved to USA with their mom looking for better opportunities.

I always love to see Leida and Laelle grace us with their lovely portraits! NatGeo Editor in Chief, Susan Goldberg wrote in her Photos of the Week essay, "I was caught by their direct gaze, colorful clothes, and obvious sisterly bond."
