The Peace Fireworks Festival in Ota-ku is a relatively small show in terms of scale, but it has a powerful meaning. It's held on the 15th of August every year to commemorate the ending of the second world war in Japan. One of the things I love about Japan is how safe it is and how friendly everyone is to me (especially when they find out I'm Canadian). I feel like this festival is a perfect representation of this beautiful and peaceful nation I now call "home".
