One step at a time
Juvenile Crimson rosella (Platycercus elegans)
I had not been able to get this close to this beautiful species which is not surprising considering their timid nature. Luckily this one was more involved in the process of eating blackberries for a while then flew onto the fence near Gardiners Creek Trail for a few moments when I managed to take several shots from about 3-4 metres away. This one is a juvenile indicated by the blue cheek patch.😉
