The cardinal waits for his turn. I hang the suet on a Shepherd's hook in front of my picture window. The view is fantastic as I watch the cardinal waiting patiently to visit the feeder. Near the suet I have the bird bath so everyone is happy. The squirrels aren't happy bc I put the suet above the bird bath and if they don't hang on tightly they fall into the bird bath.
