Forgotten Deliveries
Founded in 1894 in Zanesville, Ohio, the Mosaic Tile Co. and other manufacturers are who gave Zanesville the nickname "Pottery Capitol of the World." After acquiring the Atlantic Tile Manuferer Co. in 1920, the Mosaic Tile Co. became one of the largest producers of ceramic products in the U.S. The company's demise began in the 1950s with the rise of foreign products. By 1967, the factory closed its doors. The structure now sits abandoned and partially demolished with old bricks scattered about.
