Óbidos In is settled in the medieval castle of Óbidos village. Both castle and village are classified as national monumento and its origins go back to the moorish occupation in the 8th century a.d. During the christian reconquers, in 1148 king Afonso Henriques’ armies took back the village and the castle, where Óbidos Castle Inn was built in 1951.
