Temur's many faces
Deel is a traditional, Mongolian clothing commonly worn since ancient times among the Mongols and other nomadic tribes of Central Asia. It can be made from cotton, silk or wool. Deel's design varies among cultures, ethnic groups and time periods but for a foreigner's eye they are all similar.The deel is still commonly worn by both men and women outside major towns, especially by herders such as my host, Temur.
