I snapped this photo in the Dana Biosphere Reserve, Jordan. We had been sitting on top of a hill for an hour and a half, waiting for the sun to go down. It eventually did. The sky was engulfed in tones of orange and black. Afterwards, we began walking the trail back to our Eco-lodge. This scene caught my eye. I look back on this photo now, months after my adventure in Jordan, and yet, I can still hear and feel that moment perfectly.
