The city of Kolkata houses have many old and dilapidated buildings in perpetual danger of collapse. Many have died in building collapses almost every year in the city during heavy rains but several of them still exist, at most, with yellow boards displaying a warning. I asked this old lady why don't you leave this building? She replied that leaving behind this house once and for all is like severing a precious part of your existence. One doesn’t do this willingly.
